Al-'Imran: 1 - 5

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

الم ﴿١﴾ اللَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ الحَىُّ القَيّومُ ﴿٢﴾ نَزَّلَ عَلَيكَ الكِتٰبَ بِالحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِما بَينَ يَدَيهِ وَأَنزَلَ التَّورىٰةَ وَالإِنجيلَ ﴿٣﴾ مِن قَبلُ هُدًى لِلنّاسِ وَأَنزَلَ الفُرقانَ ۗ إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا بِـٔايٰتِ اللَّهِ لَهُم عَذابٌ شَديدٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزيزٌ ذُو انتِقامٍ ﴿٤﴾ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَخفىٰ عَلَيهِ شَيءٌ فِى الأَرضِ وَلا فِى السَّماءِ ﴿٥

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

(1) A. L. M. (2) Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. (3) It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). (4) Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution. (5) From Allah, verily nothing is hidden on earth or in the heavens.

Dengan menyebut nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang.

(1) Alif laam miim. (2) Allah, tidak ada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia. Yang Hidup kekal lagi terus menerus mengurus makhluk-Nya. (3) "Dia menurunkan Al Kitab (Al Qur'an) kepadamu dengan sebenarnya; membenarkan kitab yang telah diturunkan sebelumnya dan menurunkan Taurat dan Injil." (4) "Sebelum (Al Qur'an), menjadi petunjuk bagi manusia, dan Dia menurunkan Al Furqaan. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang kafir terhadap ayat-ayat Allah akan memperoleh siksa yang berat; dan Allah Maha Perkasa lagi mempunyai balasan (siksa)." (5) Sesungguhnya bagi Allah tidak ada satu pun yang tersembunyi di bumi dan tidak (pula) di langit.
